Tools are items used to obtain other items by interacting with the Terraria world or provide some other utility; as opposed to using weapons to slay enemies. Tools include pickaxes, axes and hammers with tile-destructive explosives also counting as tools as well. Other tools can provide other benefits just by being present in the player's inventory such as the Pincushion.
